What Is Off Duty - Slack Ops?
Off Duty - Slack Ops is an experiment started by two Call of Duty players who wanted to create a space for casual gamers (and their sweat-adjacent friends) to enjoy private matches without the stress of public lobbies. We’re building a community where players can relax, experiment with different weapons, and just enjoy gaming for fun.
Right now, we’re at the start of something we hope will grow into a thriving community of casual players who host and join private matches. The more people who sign up and spread the word, the more opportunities we’ll have to organize fun, low-pressure matches. And if this experiment takes off, we’ll build out more features for the community!

How It Works
Sign Up: Enter your name and email to join the Off Duty - Slack Ops community.
Receive Alerts: You’ll get email notifications when new private matches are scheduled.
Reserve Your Spot: Use the links in the emails to reserve your spot on the calendar. Once you register, you’ll automatically receive all the information you need to join the private match, including private keys and instructions.
Join the Match & Have Fun: When it’s time to play, use the match info to jump into the game and enjoy!
What We’re Building Together
We’re starting by promoting our own private matches, but as the community grows, we want players like you to host matches too. We’ll promote those matches on our platform to help fill them up. Our goal is to have a full schedule of private matches covering different time zones and times of the week, so there’s always something for everyone to join.
Ultimately, we want to build an email list of casual gamers and fill up private matches all week long, all year round. The more people who host and join matches, the better this community will become.
And here's where we’re headed: our ultimate goal is to release a mobile app once we reach 1,000 community members. The app will make it easier for members to communicate, register for matches, and submit private match requests. It’ll take the experience to the next level, helping us keep the community organized and connected.
Right now, Off Duty - Slack Ops is simple: we send out emails with match details, and players can sign up to join. But our long-term goal is to create a space where casual gamers can meet, squad up, and organize their own matches. Whether it’s team deathmatch, Warzone, or other modes, this community will be a place for everyone to find and join games that fit their schedule and play style.
